Cerebral organoids model human brain development and microcephaly

"[The authors] have developed a human pluripotent stem cell-derived three-dimensional organoid culture system, termed cerebral organoids. Their data show that three-dimensional organoids can recapitulate [embryonic] development ... even in this most complex human tissue [i.e. the human brain]."
These findings suggest that stem cells might find future application in restoration/regeneration of damaged portions of human brains in vivo.
If so, might stem cells also offer adjunctive utility to the nano-technological restoration of cryo-preserved brains during reanimation... especially for certain portions of the damaged brain NOT associated with long term memory storage or other identity specific structures?
