Discussion on our goals - invitation

Post by David Pizer » Sun Apr 07, 2013 11:06 am

I believe - The Twenty First Century will become the most important century ever (more important than those before or after) as this is the century that mankind will probably develop the technology needed to become physically immortal.

The Twenty First Century may also become the century that the majority of mankind concludes whether or not God exists.

Therefore, this is a very exciting and challenging time to exist.

One problem is that we have advanced technology, but very few people who
understand that technology. There are those of us who do, but I would guess
that 90% of smartphone users wouldn't even be able to explain how an
old-school, corded phone works, much less a smartphone or computer.
So you might end up with a lot of very advanced technology, but very
few people who have any clue how it works. In order to understand
concepts like religion, or science, you need to have some kind of
education in history and science. And that seems to be
lacking in current society.
